This textbook is a remix of the Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology, which is largely based on  OpenStax’s Anatomy & Physiology textbook. The text has been adapted to accommodate a 1-trimester physiology course.

Summary of Changes

• Content has been modified to focus primarily on physiology, with some anatomical details removed
• Some content relating to pathophysiology has been removed
• Chapters have been rearranged to follow the flow of a one-trimester physiology course
• Some chapters have been combined (e.g. Muscular System, Skeletal System and Musculoskeletal System)
• The chapter on pregnancy & human development has been removed, as have sections on embryonic development throughout the text
• Review questions and lecture videos have been added to some chapters
• Language has been modified to be more gender inclusive (e.g. “people who are pregnant” rather than “women who are pregnant”)
