Mentoring in the classroom

  • Blackboard: You will be added to your course Blackboard after training. If you are unable to view the course, please make the EEEC aware.
  • Be prepared for class. Review the syllabus and materials.
  • Assist your professor as requested.
  • Encourage class participation.
  • Be prepared to speak to students about course topics and guide discussions.
  • Model appropriate class behavior. Cell phones should be out of sight and not used unless used for an approved classroom activity.
  • Review duties and responsibilities on pages five and six of this resource guide.
  • Share the importance and value of service-learning, community engagement, and other experiential learning opportunities
