Interviewee Bio – Haanita Seval

Haanita Seval

Haanita Seval always wanted to be an actor. Right up until she realized just how terrifying auditioning was. Fortunately, she found a different path into the world of the performing arts when she was hired by Prairie Theatre Exchange in 1985 in the newly-created position of Tour Coordinator. Her entire professional arts administrator career of 38 years has been spent with PTE, except for a “brief” 11-year period with the development department of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. In that time, she’s had the pleasure of working in a wide range of roles, including all aspects of marketing, individual and corporate development, sponsorship, art direction, promotions, event organization, social media and whatever else the job has thrown at her. Haanita had the privilege of being mentored by some amazing women in her journey and strives to honour that legacy by continuing to share her own knowledge with others.
