Judith Thompson

Judith Thompson, Officer of the Order of Canada, Fellow of the Royal Society, Playwright, Director, Actor, Professor of Theatre Studies at the University of Guelph. The author of 15 published plays, many of which have been produced around the world, two feature films, many radio plays, and several essays. Artistic director of RARE theatre for ten years: featuring plays devised by communities with different abilities. Awards include: two governor general awards, Walter Carsen award, Toronto Arts Award, Epilepsy Ontario award, B’nai B’rith Award, Dora award, Chalmers, and the Amnesty International Freedom Award.
