Thinking of Fritz Lang film Metropolis, a metaphor of an unequal society, comparing to many of our present metropoles.
Metropolis, futuristic urban dystopia,
a superstructure of hedonistic,
rich society living at the surface,
opposite to a slave circus living underneath,
damned to worthless purpose.
What about our present capitals?
Homeless people treated like animals,
contrast visible in the Big Apple,
criminal social condition.
Metropoles of unemployed
and precariat workers,
the new generation of slaves,
lives null and void, many destroyed.
Paris suburbs on riot, youngsters
kept under pressure to keep quiet,
bursts of violence, leavin them out on a stretcher.
London on fire, everywhere fair measures
are required, a fresher and higher future desire.
