How does the MSM manage to take GOP claims that Democrats are-for whatever the latest piece of faux outrage they’ve concocted is-‘being divisive’ seriously?
The GOP is the party of Birtherism, of Lock Her Up-the night after we learned that Trump’s #MagaBomber sent Clinton a pipe bomb, Trump and his Deplorable supporters were doing Lock Her Up chants-they’re the party of Send Them Back, of Good People on Both Sides, of refusing to work with Obama at the height of the worst recession since the Great Depression-because Mitch McConnell and Friends reasoned that if this retards the recovery it will rebound to the GOP-as Obama was the President.

The gullible MSM took his complaining about Democrats being too mean to Kavanaugh seriously, failing to point out he didn’t even give Merrick Garland a hearing; meanwhile, sorry to say, somehow Obama’s VP, Joe Biden, has learned nothing after eight years of obstruction, vowing to nominate Merrick Garland if elected!
Again, negotiating with himself! Garland was the compromise pick for the GOP and they responded not with compromise but by simply blowing up all precedent-again. As usual. Yet Biden claims that the GOP good faith is somewhere, just very well hidden.
The GOP is the party of #MoscowMitch who refused to even ‘unify’ when democracy itself was on the line-in the middle of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, McConnell refused to cooperate with the intelligence community in putting out a strong bipartisan statement of condemnation; Mitch McConnell is always a Republican first and an American second. He and his complicit party has no grounds to ever lecture anyone on unity, decency, and ‘coming together.’
The GOP is the party Send Them Back, of Chidren in cages, of a Muslim Ban-that the Democratic Presidential nominees have utterly failed to condemn.

If the GOP is the Party of (the American)Hitler the Democrats are the party of the American Neville Chamberlain always fooling themselves that the latest craven act of appeasement will finally locate that mythical GOP good faith we hear so much about.
But to actual voters who want to bring back unity and decency to American politics they have the power to do so: don’t elect any GOPer to any office beyond dog catcher for the next 100 years.
100 years seems like a fair sentence in the penalty box seeing as they have proven so irrefutably in the previous 100 years that if you give this party even the slightest scrap of power it will be abused.
