Irish Lullaby (In a Low Rocking Chair), by Mary Howe

The purpose of this new performance edition is to raise interest in Mary Howe’s work as a noteworthy 20th century composer. The project includes details on Howe’s life, the sociopolitical context of the time, and the piece’s interpretation. The hope is for this array of information to benefit performers, composers, and musicologists alike in studying and appreciating Howe’s music.
