What

A family get together on the Brunken farm near Lahoma, Oklahoma.  William Brunken had passed away October 12, 1941. In 1943, after Harold and Leona were married, Grandmother Brunken moved to Alva, Oklahoma to be near her two daughters, Hilda and Mildred.  Harold and his family lived on and worked the Brunken farm.

The Brunken farm near Lahoma served as a convenient location for family gatherings as it was somewhat central to where the Brunken children families were living – Hilda and Mildred in Alva, Alvin in Covington and then Oklahoma City, Leona in Enid and then Blackwell.

When

1944 – as per the note on the back of the picture.

Where

Lahoma, Oklahoma – appears to be at the Brunken farm house, the home of Harold Brunken and his family.
