About Introduction to Chemistry
Coverage and Scope
This textbook adheres to the scope and sequence of many one-term stand-alone general chemistry courses. We strive to make the discipline of chemistry interesting and accessible to students who may come to the course with little experience or developed interest in chemistry. With this audience in mind, the textbook has been structured and organized to provide a logical progression of the most fundamental concepts. Topics are connected to common contexts, are presented with opportunities for extension of learning to new and more challenging contexts, and are reinforced as the book progresses.
The book maintains a comprehensive set of artistic and visual resources from earlier iterations (e.g. CH1114 Introductory Chemistry). End of chapter problems and limited solutions are included.
