This open educational resource (OER) is designed to supplement information literacy instruction for first-year students. The goal of this ebook is to familiarize students with the wealth of library resources and help available to them throughout their time at Bucknell.

Following a brief introduction, the resource is divided into three parts, “Find,” “Evaluate,” and “Use.” Parts and sections may be assigned separately based on your students’ needs.

Upon completion of this resource, students will…

  • Develop basic information literacy skills necessary for college-level work.
  • Build confidence with library collections, resources, and services.
  • Identify how to get help finding, evaluating, and using information from a variety of sources.
