Introduction to Integrated Reading and Writing, Level I

Introduction

Reading and writing are linked. When you read, you get ideas about what to write and how to write. When you write, crafting sentences and paragraphs often ends up improving your reading skills, too.

This open resource will help you focus on how to get more from your reading and how to use what you read to improve your writing skills.

Purpose of This Text

This open educational resource was created for integrated reading and writing students at the college level.

As every student knows, attending college is expensive. From tuition to textbooks and course materials, the cost of a college education can quickly add up. Authors Judith Tomasson and Pamela Herrington-Moriarty developed this text through the use of free resources to reduce financial barriers to college and to assist students with their development of reading and writing skills.
