75 We are Living in an Orwellian(Trumpian) World and Once Again all Roads Lead to Russia
I imagine the title as a Weird Al Yankovic remixing of Madonna’s Material World-call it Orwellian World Trummp being the ulimtate Orewllian boy.
To call it Trumpian is redundant as again as we discussed in chapter Orwell-Rorty etc Trump IS Orewllian he is literally O’Brien, he is O’Brien in the American context. Yet it turns out that once again all roads lead to Russia and it turns out that this Orwellian world of Kellyann Conway’s alternative facts was perfected in Putin’s Russia then it was exported to the US of A-this seems to be the one export Trump is willing to load up on as since the start of Trump 2.0 he’s taken many steps to make it easier for Russaiin disinformatoin to penetrate our political system while neuterting our offensive intel capabilities vis a vis Russia.
