There’s good news and bad news: the good news is #ResistanceLiberals like many of us were right for the last nine and a half years about Trump and Russia-he is, has been, always was the Manchurian candidate. We were right that if Donald Trump became President that’s pretty much the end of the world. That’s the good news. The bad news is our cassandra warnings were often dismissed as “Trump Derangement Syndrome” and “McCarthyite” which is pretty ironic as McCarthyism was an attack on liberals because we-correctly-linked Trump to Russia.

The good news is we correctly predicted Trump would be the end of the world as he and Musk work at breakneck speed to destroy the US government and its place as leader of the free world. So we were right. The bad news-it’s the end of the world. Being right is small comfort to it being the end of the world. Alexander Vindman is also right was right when he warned that US policy towards Russia has been naive going back to when George Bush Sr did Budapest-forcing Ukraine to give up their nuclear weapons. Yet even he seems SURPRISESD that Trump “wants to give Putin a win” that “if he was a more sophiscated actor he’d want to give himself a win.”

Trump is the Manchurian candidate. A win for him was never to give the United States a win but Russia. Again 2016 was quid pro quo.
