58 The Trump-Musk Coup Upends The MAGA Illusion as Well as the Sensible Centrist Canard About DOGE

I mean think about it-for months there’s been the Savvy dismissal of DOGE as a sideshow-the “it’s just a distraction” people insisted as it wasn’t a Senate confirmed department of the executive branch it couldn’t do anything. Remember all the mirth after Vivek Ramaswamy  was pushed out?

But what a fallacy to presume that because DOGE has no legal/constitutional basis to do anything this would stop it from doing anything. This is Donald Trump. It’s as if the last 9 and a half years never happened as if J6 never happened-and indeed many people today act as if it never did.

But then over the weekend we heard that Musk has basically forced his way into the US Treasury and now has access to the tax ids and ss numbers of millions of Americans.

Turns out Trump-Musk Musk-Trump aren’t constrained in any way by the law. But why is this surprising? The Supreme Court has already elevated Trump above it and Musk has simiarly lived above it-remember when he got off scott free after slandering someone as a pedophile on Xitter?

The whole point of Project 2025 is to render Congress a irrlevancy.
