Exercise Overview
So far in Part 3 we have discussed both traditional and contemporary instructional contexts. It is important to consider that the instructional context may have been one reason why learners were not successful in their traditional classrooms.
Exercise Instructions
- Think back to one of the personas you explored in Part 1.
- Briefly sketch the instructional context for this persona.
- Now think back to Part 2. What were your learner’s needs and learning gaps? How does the instructional context impede or support the needs and gaps?
- In preparation for your upcoming reflection, jot down a quick summary of your learner’s needs in relationship to their instructional context.
