Mrs. M. Doernhoefer Dies at Ancell
Mrs. Mary Doernhoefer, former Perryville resident, died at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, Sep. 9. at the home of her son Edward of Ancell, with whom she had made her home for the last four years. She was 79 years old and had been sick for the last five months.
The body was brought Tuesday evening to Young & Sons Chapel at Perryville and the body will lie in state there until 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, when it will be taken to the Friendenberg Lutheran church. Services will be conducted there at 2 p. m. by the Rev. 0. Hemmann of Longtown, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Doernhoefer (nee Kirmse) was born in Perry County on Feb. 7, 1868. She was married here on June 7. 1893. to Clemens Doernhoefer, who died Mar. 11, 1942. The two children born to them are living. They are Edward of Ancell and Gilbert of Perryville. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Emmanuel Hacker of Menfro, and four brothers. Joseph and Louis Kirmse of Farrar, Charles Kirmse of Cross-town, and William Kirmse of Alva, Okla.
