Chapter 1: The Frozen Dream

Chapter 1: The Frozen Dream
Intro:

In the frosty town of Whitehorse, Canada, a boy named Liam Carter watched the world from behind foggy windows, clutching a pair of old ice skates. From his very first step onto the rink, he dreamed not of just skating—but of becoming a hockey legend.

Story:

Liam was seven when he first stepped onto the local ice rink, bundled in layers and wobbling like a penguin. His father, a former minor league player turned mechanic, laced up his skates and taught him how to glide.

Whitehorse winters were long, dark, and biting, but Liam loved them. His small town had one public rink and a lot of kids dreaming of glory, but Liam stood out—because he never wanted to leave the ice.

Every morning before school, he would shovel the snow off the frozen pond behind his house and practice. His stick was secondhand, his gloves patched at the fingers, but his passion was brand new every day.

When he was ten, he tried out for the junior team. He was small and quiet, often overlooked, but during the last round, he darted between defenders and scored the winning goal in a scrimmage. That earned him a spot—and a reputation.

Still, the journey was hard. The other players had better equipment and private coaches. Liam had YouTube videos, late-night practices, and his dad yelling encouragement while working double shifts to afford his gear.

One bitter night, after losing a big game, Liam cried in the locker room. “Maybe I’m not good enough,” he said.

His coach knelt beside him. “Everyone doubts themselves. Champions don’t give up—they sharpen their skates and come back stronger.”

Outro:

That night, Liam didn’t sleep. He stared at the ceiling, imagining the roar of a crowd. He whispered, “One day, they’ll cheer my name.
