Making a Digital Citizenship Game
Have students access the student chapter Making a Digital Citizenship Game and tell them that they will be designing a game that teaches the same content as one of the parts of A Day in the Life of the Jos. (You may choose to have them do this individually, in pairs or in small groups.)
Explain that it should not teach the same specific content (the scenarios, questions and answers) but the essential skills and knowledge they learned from the game.
Ask students if they have ever done a similar exercise, in class or elsewhere. If so, ask them to reflect on what has changed since the last time they did.
Have them use the interactive activity to design their game.
Depending on time and resources available, you may choose to have them make a prototype of the game and assess it with the Game Prototype Assessment Rubric, or just submit their game design and assess it with the Game Design Assessment Rubric.
