Making Games
Have the groups create a prototype of their game. Encourage them to use low-tech materials and focus on making a functional version of the game that can be easily playtested.
When the prototypes are ready, allow time for each group to playtest their game with another group.
Have students use the interactive tool in the student chapter Constructive Feedback to share feedback on the game’s rules, mechanics, and overall enjoyment. Make sure they are aware that the feedback they give will be part of the project’s evaluation.
Have students submit their game design and their feedback on the other students’ games. Assess student work with the Assessment Rubric.
