The poem “Everything is Waiting For You” by David Whyte opens with the lines:

Your great mistake, your great mistake is to act the drama
as if you were alone.
Your greatest mistake is to act the drama
as if you were alone.

Steve Andrews didn’t make this mistake. As the drama of his life unfolded, he lived it openly, generously, and with grace.
