Planning is a useful exercise for all levels of open education projects. Whether you’re working towards an OER degree or just trying to get your department to adopt OER, planning helps you outline the goals of your open educational project, align it to institutional missions, and decide how best to work toward achieving your objectives. The Plan section of the CCCOER website addresses planning at an institutional level, planning for individual faculty members, how to encourage student involvement in your open education project, including ideas for planning professional development opportunities related to open education.
