One of the most active parts of CCCOER is our community email list, also known as the CCCOER listserv, or the CCCOER-advisory Google Group. Whatever you call it, it is a public forum where community college educators interested in OER can learn from each other. There are over one thousand members in this Google Group, including community college faculty, librarians, instructional designers, administrators, and other educators. Members of the list are spread out over 45 US states and the District of Columbia, 6 Canadian provinces, and 7 countries spanning 4 continents!

The community email list has three main functions:

  • to share ideas, resources, and best practices related to OER,
  • to share events and professional development opportunities for OER adoption at community colleges, and
  • to provide updates about policy, research, projects, and other news from the OER movement.

While the focus of the list is community colleges in North America, educators from 4-year colleges and universities are welcome. Feel free to let others at your college know about this discussion listserv for educators engaged in open education.
