Anna M. Roesch
Services for Anna M. Roesch, 97, are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Paul Rowoldt officiating. Burial is in Columbus Cemetery.
Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roesch was born Dec. 1, 1886, north of Columbus, the daughter of John and Johanna Platt Brunken. She attended country school north of Columbus and married Tony Roesch July 3, 1910[1911], in Columbus.
A lifetime Columbus resident, Mrs. Roesch worked as a dressmaker and midwife and helped operate a cafe. She died Friday at Milford Nursing Home in Milford.
Surviving are two daughters, Viola Pensick of Lincoln and Lila Damas of Oakland, Calif.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise (Mrs. Herman) Karlin of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.
