OBITUARY
The graveside services for Mildred M. (Shreeve) Bergdall Brunken, 92 year-old Meno resident, were held at 11 a.m. March 14, 2008, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno. Pastor Eric Brown officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home of Enid.
Mildred was born to David Grant and Edna Doremus Shreeve on the family farm south of Lahoma that her father homesteaded in the Land Run of 1893. Mildred died in the Arbors Assisted Living Center.
She attended Oak Glade School and graduated from Lahoma High School. She married Harold Bergdall in 1932. They lived on the farm briefly and also in Ringwood for two years before settling in Meno in 1938. She was a housewife and mother. She also attended Beach’s Beauty College. She worked at the Meno Beauty Shop, Dixie Diner Cafe, was a cook at the Lahoma School and was the Meno post master. Her husband, Harold died in 1975. She later married Harold Brunken. They liked to travel and fish. He preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by her two sons, Larry Bergdall and wife Shirley, and Ronnie Bergdall and wife Esther; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; also a daughter-in-law, Barbara Bergdall Gabric.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons, Harold Dale and Ross, as well as a great-grandson, Derick.
