Anna Ida Brunken, 84, 2411 J. Street, died Friday (16 Dec). She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln and the Ladies Aid. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 12th & H Streets. Services will be conducted by Pastor Daniel Ondov and burial will be at the Lincoln Memorial Park cemetery. Roper & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers are Larry Briggs, William Briggs, Jack Lingle, Earl Lliteras, Jeffrey Brunken and Mark Mallett.
Ida was born April 12, 1893 in Wilson Township in Colfax County Nebraska to Joseph and Anna Ida Hoefelmann Schlosser. In 1910. she moved with her parents to a farm 8 miles west of Enid Oklahoma where they were members of the Trinity Lutheran Church near Glenella. After her marriage in April, 1913 to Gustav Brunken. she became a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Lahoma. On a farm near there, a daughter Irene and a son Raymond were born. Around 1920, Gus bought a farm near Perry Oklahoma where son Edwin, and daughters Adeline and Ferne were born. In 1925, the family moved to Columbus Nebraska. A daughter, Ruth was born. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Columbus.
In 1945, Gus and Ida moved to Lincoln where they lived the remainder of their lives.
