September Vows Read For Judy Kirmse, Ronald Yordi
MISS JUDY ANN KIRMSE became the bride of Ronald N. Yordi, Saturday Sept. 28 in the Messiah Lutheran church in Oklahoma City. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius H. Kirmse, Alva and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman O. Yordi, Ardmore.
The Rev. F. Schumacher officiated at the double ring, candellight ceremony before two baskets of talisman gladioli. Miss Karen Allman, organist, Oklahoma City, played wedding selections. Miss Shirley Ross, Stillwater, Okla., sang “One Thirty One Corinthians,” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”
THE BRIDE, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory, satin empire dress with elbows length sleeves. Hand cut lace and seed pearls trimmed the bodice, chapel train and bottom of the gown. She wore a matching veil of lace held in place by an ivory satin bow and carried Wodburn Abbey roses with yellow statice seafoam trimmed with green velvet ribbons.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Marshall Frazer, Austin, Texas, sister of the bride. She wore a beige crepe blouse and co-ordinating brown crepe floor length skirt and. a bow of gold ribbon and a gold ribbon sash. She carried a single, long stemmed talisrtian gamelia.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Gary Sonnenberg, Sharpesville, Pa., cousin of the bride and Miss Kaye Vernon of Oklahoma City. They were dressed identical to the matron of honor.
ELVIS ROARK of Okeene, Okla., served as best man. Other attendants were Neil Yordi, Stillwater, brother of the bride-groom, Rodney Hunsinger, Norman and uinton Tipton also of Norman. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Kirmse wore a sheer, wool crepe, dress of mint green with celery colored shoes and purse and mink hat. She wore an nile’ cymbilium orchid. Mrs. Yordi, mother of the groom, wore a gold silk ensemble trim orchid.
A reception was held following the ceremony. The bride’s table was covered with a white net cloth. Silver appointments were used. The three tiered wedding cake was topped with a nosegay of Wodburn Abbey roses. Those serving at the reception were Mrs. H. J. Lindorfer of Texhoma; Mrs. Arno Lindorfer of Sherman, Texas; Miss Sharon Lyon, Oklahoma City; Miss. Donna Beaulieu, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Roy Hackler of Texhoma.
Mrs. Robert Gates kept the guest book.
The couple left for a wedding trip in Oklahoma. For travel the bride wore a tan ensemble with brown accessories and Wodburn Abbey roses lifted from her bridal bouquet.
The couple is residing in Oklahoma City where the bridegroom is attending the University of Oklahoma as a student in Civil Engineering. This is his senior year. The bride is employed with a law firm in the City.
