When she was young, Elizabeth was accused of rebellion and placed under house arrest in the town of Woodstock by her half-sister, Queen Mary. Her imprisonment lasted roughly one year.
Much suspected by me,
Nothing proved can be,
Quoth Elizabeth prisoner.
