Bloom’s Taxonomy is a framework commonly used in higher education to help write measurable learning objectives. It organizes cognitive skills into levels that increase in complexity. In this book, Bloom’s verbs are mentioned as a simple way to make learning outcomes clear and measurable.

Below are a few sample action verbs that support measurable learning objectives:
