Basics of Online Learning

Before we can dig too deeply into strategies, there are a few online course basics we need to establish. Throughout this book, I’ll be talking about online courses as though you’re already in one. However, if you’ve never taken an online course before, or if you’re only starting to think about taking a class online, there are a few things we should review. If you’ve taken online classes before, this section is likely review; you might skip to the activity and see if you can answer the questions there.

One important note: Every online class is slightly different. These basics are broad enough to apply to most situations, but your class experience could be completely different!
