The AXS Companion is supported by The AXS Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3. We share the goal of supporting students by providing greater access and clarity as students apply to a wide selection of colleges.

The initial creation of the AXS Companion was a collaborative effort of Oregon State University and the Independent Educational Consultants Association. When we began in 2021, our goal was to support students when applying to college using Common App.

Additionally, we asked admission officers and other experts to provide application advice, essay guidance, and financial aid tutorials, and they generously shared valuable guidance.

Collectively, we share a common goal of supporting students by providing greater access to a broader selection of colleges.

We are deeply grateful to the Oregon State University Ecampus team and its Oregon State partners for their contributions to this project. As a national leader in online education, Oregon State University Ecampus engages in innovative partnerships to provide access to exceptional learning experiences that transform the lives of thousands of students around the world. Without the support of the Oregon State University team, which included Jon Boeckenstedt and Shannon Riggs, this project would not have been possible.

Thank you to our IECA colleagues and high school counselors. Without this collaborative effort, this project would never have been created.

We understand that applying to college is a complex and often stressful process for students. We have developed this curriculum and these videos to guide students through Common App in the same manner in which we guide the students with whom we work.
