Epilogue

Martina Vasil

I hope that after reading this book and having the experiences tied to this class that you feel a little bit more prepared to teach elementary music. Your college experience will never fully prepare you for what you will face as a first-year teacher, but hopefully we have taken many of the surprises out.

I want to end this book by reminding you to always listen to your gut, always be you, and always do what’s best for your students. The impact you will have on their lives will be hard to measure, but rest-assured, you will mean something to hundreds if not thousands of children by the time you retire.

Thank you for the energy you will put out into the world. The children need you.
