Definition to Remember:

  • MLA = Modern Language Association (typically used for liberal arts and humanities)

Rules to Remember:

  1. Use 12 point, Times New Roman font, with 1” margins on all sides.
  2. Include a header that numbers all pages consecutively in the upper right-hand corner, one half inch from the top of the page.
  3. Your essay includes 2 main sections: body and works cited page. Do not include a title page unless your instructor specifically requests one.

Prepare a proper MLA summary, paraphrase, and direct quote using that source, taking care to follow all MLA parenthetical requirements precisely.
