Think Again: Another View?

Six Views – Step 4

In this final activity, reflect on what else to include in describing yourself.

Consider adding more to the description used for your Vision Share or creating another view of yourself. Be sure to include revisions in your Process Notebook.

Suggested Time for Activity: 15 minutes

Optional Revision: 20 minutes or more

Read your six comparisons aloud, then reflect on which ones best convey who you are. Prompts to guide you appear at the bottom of this page.

Q. Am I finished with the lesson now?

Evaluate your writing goals.

When you’ve completed “Think Again,” you’re done with the four main steps. Bravo! Spend more time on the optional activities, if you wish, but you’re almost there.

The only thing left to do is to your self-evaluation. Ask yourself about the progress made on your goals. Once you’ve responded, you’re finished with the lesson.

Prompts for Reflecting

Respond to one or more of these prompts in your notebook:

  • Why did you choose that view of yourself for your Vision Share?
  • How did the person (or people) you shared it with respond?
  • Which views of yourself fit different audiences?
  • What surprised you about the writing you did?
  • What else can you add to help convey your “I”?
