Focus On Self: Negativity Bias

As a result of the evolutionary process, and our desire to stay alive, we are programmed to scan for danger and threat.  This has resulted in a negativity bias among many of us, where are brain interprets things as being negative.  The most common example of negativity bias is the saying “is the glass half empty, or half full.”  Can you think of any other examples from your life?

Practicing gratitude will put you in a different frame of mind in general.  Your mind is a powerful thing, and if it is in a positive frame, positive things will happen to you.  Sometimes just telling yourself something, whether you believe it or not, will change your mindset.
