Module Summary
As you began the week, you had an opportunity to generate a design plan for a student-to-student learning activity that will help you build an online learning community. Next, you used the eCampus online syllabus template to create a rough draft of your course syllabus. By using the template, you increased the likelihood of your course meeting the Quality Matters Standards. You also review some exemplary Blackboard courses and considered the effective use of multimedia. Because multimedia can be expensive in terms of time and money, we suggested you concentrate your initial course development efforts on the core teaching and learning activities and assessments for your course. We will wrap up the course design in the next few modules, but the main elements of your course design should now be completed, and you should soon be ready to begin the development of some course components. Your instructional design consultant will let you know when you may begin your course development projects.
