Welcome to New Voices, New Visions, a collection of the best student writing from the State University of New York at New Paltz’s Composition Program, newly minted the Writing & Rhetoric Program (summer 2022).  We are glad to be back on campus and sharing these essays, memoirs, letters, and projects with our readers! Campus Atrium and Student Union Buildings

Here, you will find a variety of modes, genres, and situations that students encounter and respond to in their college studies and beyond. It is our hope that New Voices, New Visions will not only be enjoyed by general readers, but also prompt current students to develop their skills by providing a variety of writing examples that demonstrate what is possible in our first-year Composition I and Writing & Rhetoric courses, as well as in other academic, personal, and professional contexts.
