224 Circular Economy in Electronics: Recycling and Reusing E-Waste

Allpanel777, Lotus299: E-waste, discarded electronic devices and appliances, poses a severe threat to the environment due to its toxic components that can leach into soil and water sources. When improperly disposed of, e-waste releases harmful chemicals such as lead, mercury, and cadmium, leading to pollution and potential health risks for both humans and wildlife. The improper recycling or dumping of e-waste also contributes to landfills’ increasing volume, exacerbating environmental deterioration.
