Academic Advising
Academic advising is a service that all students are encouraged to use in planning their course work.
Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center offers academic assistance for your classes and peer mentoring to help you acclimate to the College. Their goal is to help you build the skills and confidence needed to be successful in your coursework and in your academic, professional, and personal pursuits.
- The Academic Success Center has many handouts available online 24/7, with instructions and “how to” explanations in areas such as reading, writing, world languages, math and science..
- Tutoring Options in many subjects is available.
- The Academic Success Center also connects students with Success Advocates (peer mentors) who will be there to answer any questions students may have about the College and share their personal experiences to help equip students with the tools for success.
BCCC Library
- The Library has a wealth of electronic resources, many of which are available 24/7 from any Internet accessed computer. You can easily search the catalog (Links to an external site.) or databases.
- You can contact the librarians by phone, email or IM (Help is available 24/7): Ask a Librarian (Links to an external site.).
- One of the most popular library databases used to retrieve articles for discussion and research is EBSCOhost. Information Literacy Tutorials (Links to an external site.) are available to assist you in using EBSCOhost and other online database tools.
- The Tutoring Center has additional handouts on how to cite sources (Links to an external site.)

Bucks Online
Bucks Online assists with technology issues related to Canvas as well as with general questions regarding online courses
Help Desk
The Helpdesk staff can help via email (helpdesk@bucks.edu) or phone with any technology questions related to your online course management system, including logging in. They can also assist you with password resets, the campus wireless network, BucksMail, and using WebAdvisor.
Learning Resources represents collaboration between Library Services, the Media Lab, the Tutoring Center, and Bucks Online. The staff of Learning Resources put together a suite of helpful resources to support your academic success.
Success Advocates
Peer mentors, called Success Advocates, are available to help students transition into Bucks and navigate their college careers by serving as a connection for them and the college community. Success Advocates can answer questions about different Bucks services, connect students to clubs and organizations, and help students navigate the campus.
