E | Campus Security and Safety

Bucks County Community College is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all members of the campus community. The following are important components of the College’s overall campus safety strategy.

Campus Communication System

If there is a campus emergency or when inclement weather or other conditions forces the cancellation or delayed start of classes, announcements will be made using the omnilert text message and email system. To receive notifications critical to your safety and well-being as well as other important campus information register for now.

Active Shooter Video

Although there has never been an active shooter situation on our campus, students need to be mindful that these situations can occur. The better informed and prepared you are, the greater your chances of surviving. This video demonstrates possible actions that individuals can take if confronted with an active shooter scenario. NOTE: The video will not play if you are using Internet Explorer. It works well with the Chrome or Firefox browsers.

Shelter- in- Place

Shelter-in-Place Protocols are an important component of the College’s overall campus safety strategy. Shelter-in-place will be declared in the event of a significant environmental hazard such as widespread chemical or radioactive contamination or a major weather emergency like a tornado.

Security Crime Report (Clery Report)

The Security Information Report required by the College and the University Security Information Act of Pennsylvania and the “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act” of the Federal Government is available at Annual Security Reports on the College website.

Information Guides for Victims of Sexual Assault

Bucks County Community College is committed to providing a place of work and study free of intimidation, harassment, exploitation, discrimination, or violence, and complies with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination based on gender (including sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and sexual violence) in the College’s educational programs and activities.
