Academic Writing in College: An Introduction

As we begin our semester, we’ll be looking at the differences between the writing you might have done previously in high school or pre-credit courses and the writing required to be successful throughout your college career. We’ll also be examining the goals of First Year Composition courses.

In this chapter, we’ll talk about academic writing: what it is, and what it is not.
