Argument, Rhetoric, and Critical Reading
Now that you have a brief introduction to the general conversation about Academic Writing, it is time to look more specifically at some of the concepts and strategies you’ll need this semester.
In this chapter, we’ll talk about academic writing as well sourced arguments, and we’ll look at how students can use a knowledge of argumentation and rhetoric to analyze texts and select the most appropriate and authoritative sources for their essays.
