This text is designed to support the work of students in ENGL102 Composition and Literature at Frederick Community College. It was compiled from various open source and linked elements on the internet, with attention to a diverse set of voices and is 100% free to students.

The aim of this text is to introduce students to the study, analysis, and interpretation of literature across multiple genres (fiction, poetry, and drama). Key topics include literary genres and conventions; how to read and write about literature; and literary analysis. Primary literary works and critical responses are also included.
