‘Yes’ I hear you think ‘ but I’m going for a creative/ action man or woman/ boffin type role, I’m not a managerial, organizing type’.

Quite so, but even the most creative or improvising role requires something crucial: that you
ship. And all of us, however chaotically creative or inspired, need structure and organization, somewhere.

Often, we see brilliant artists and writers typically depicted surrounded by chaos, with personal hygiene and self-presentation a low priority. But a part of their brains will be rigorously ordered on the direction of their work, and structure and form contained in it. Otherwise, they would produce nothing.

So let’s get it over with and knuckle down to preparation.
