Why Cite?

Citing is more than including a reference list at the end of your paper, it’s giving appropriate credit for the work that influenced your creative process and showing which ideas were your own.  When you read, watch, or listen to something there will be credit given to others’ ideas. Sometimes it takes different forms like an embedded link, a mention or an author’s name, or a photo credit, but all of these serve the same purpose.
