What is a Figure?
APA considers anything that is not a table to be a figure, and it has quite a few rules on how to present or setup figures. https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/tables-figures/figures
Figure Elements
To place a figure in your assignment or IMP these four essential components. Remember everything has to be double spaced.
- Figure 1 (use bold)
- Short Descriptive Title (use title case and italics)
- The figure

Embed or Place After the Reference List
Either embed a figure into your paper on the page where you first write about it, or place it on a separate page after your reference list. Each figure would have its own page. If images are small try to place them at the top or the bottom of a page and not in the middle.
Copyright Attribution
The copyright attribution is used instead of an in-text citation. The copyright attribution consists of the same elements as the reference list entry, but in a different order (title, author, date, site name, URL), followed by copyright status and permission statement.
