Dr. William (Bill) Diehl-Jones has a PhD in Physiology/Cell Biology. He has practiced in NICU as a nurse, and his area of research is in oxidative stress in the preterm infant.  He has taught pharmacotherapeutics and pathophysiology to Nurse Practitioners for over 25 years at Western University, University of Manitoba, University of Toronto and Athabasca University. He has taught a bunch of other ‘ologys’, including introductory biology, cell biology, developmental biology, comparative, general and human physiology, histology, microbiology and ocular physiology.

His most important job is father to four most excellent young people, and partner to Deb Fraser. He has run 39 marathons (and counting), and 1 ultramarathon (never again). He believes that the number of bikes one should own (including road, mountain, gravel and fat bikes) is equal to N+1, wherein N is the number you currently own (10 and counting). He is now mostly retired and lives in a log cabin. He is passionate about making sawdust, and he has a podcast:  This is Your Body by Dr. Bill
