In Memory of Julius H. Kirmse
Julius Henry son of Martha Margaretha (Cordes) and Wilhelm Kirmse, was born near Goodwin, in Oklahoma Territory, on January 20, 1905. He passed away at the Alva Share Medical Center on the 4th of December at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 15 days.  When he was a small child, his family came to a farm southeast of Alva. He attended the Liberty Rural Grade School District #35 and the Zion Lutheran School.
Mr. Kirmse was a member of the Alva Zion Lutheran Church. He was baptized on March 5, 1905 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Woodward, Oklahoma and was confirmed at the Alva Zion Lutheran Church on March 18, 1919. He was a member of the Men’s Club of the church, the Bee Keepers Association, Alva Farmer’s Co-op, sold certified wheat and was a member of the Oklahoma Wheat Grower’s Association.
On November 1, 1936, he was married to Hilda Ida Brunken at the Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma. Following their marriage they made their home on the farm five miles south and one mile east of Alva, where Julius farmed until he was 90 years of age. To his marriage with Hilda, four children, Dale. Dean, Donna and Judy were born. Hilda passed away on September 24, 1946.
On August 19. 1951. Julius was married to Hildegard Kletke at the Alva Zion Lutheran Church, In 1968 they moved to 1201 Locust Street.
Mr. Kirmse was preceded in death by his infant son, Dean, on August 17, 1940; a grand-daughter, Amber Joy Frazer on September 10, 1972; his mother on December 9, 1967 and his father on August 14, 1968; two sisters, an infant, Edna and Laura Schmidt on December 7. 1995; and a brother Alvin, on September 25, 1928.
Julius is survived by his wife Hildegard of the home; two daughters and their husbands. Donna and B. J. Martin of Austin. Texas and Judy and Ronald Yordi of Oklahoma City; a son and his wife. Dale and Sue of Gainesville, Florida; six granddaughters and husbands. Cori and Andrew Wendt, Dana and Ken Bush, Karen and Andy Ralston, Carmen Yordi, Kathy Kirmse and Kristina Kirmse; a grandson, Kevin Kirmse: two great-grandsons, Patrick and Richard Ralston; two sisters, Ella Krueger and Norma and her husband, A. A. (Bud) Rauh, Jr., all of Alva; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

JULIUS H. KIRMSE
Julius Henry Kirmse, 93, son of Martha Mar-garetha (Cordes) and Wilhelm Kirmse, was born near Goodwin, in Oklahoma Territory, on Jan. 20, 1905. He passed away Dec. 4, 1998, at the Alva Share Medical Center.
When he was a small child, his family came to a farm southeast of Alva. He attended the Liberty Rural Grade School District #35 and the Zion Lutheran School.
Mr. Kirmse was a member of the Alva Zion Lutheran Church. He was baptized on March 5, 1905, at Goodwin and was confirmed at the Alva Zion Lutheran Church in March 18, 1919. On Aug. 19, 1951, Julius was married to Hildegard Kletke at the Alv.a Zion Lutheran Church. In 1968 they moved 10 1201 Locust Street.
Mr. Kirmse was preceded in death by his infant son, Dean on Aug. 17, 1940; a granddaughter, Amber Joy Frazer on Sept. 10, 1972; his parents, both in 1968; two sisters, an infant, Edna, and Laura Schmidt on Dec. 7, 1995; and a brother, Alvin on Sept. 25, 1928.
Julius is survived by his wife, Hildegard of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Donna and B. J. Martin of Austin, Texas, and Judy and Ronald Yordi of Oklahoma City; a son and his wife, Dale and Sue of Gainesville, Fla.; six granddaughters and husbands, Cori and Andrew Wendt, Dana and Ken Bush, Karen and Andy Ralston, Carmen Yordi, Kathy Kirmse and Kristine Kirmse; a grandson, Kevin Kirmse; two great grandsons, Patrick and Richard Ralston; two sisters, Ella Kruger and Norma and her husband, A.A. (Bud) Rauh Jr., all of Alva; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Alva Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Joel Picard, pastor, officiating. Interment will he in Alva Zion Lutheran Cemetery. The Wharton Funeral Chapel of Alva is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions may be made in his memory to the building fund of the Alva Zion Lutheran Church.
