Martha and William Kirmse were facilitators for family members and friends to purchase Oklahoma land. I remember when family from Perry County, Missouri visited, Grandfather Kirmse would take them out to see land that he had helped them purchase. When there were children along, he would also take me to play with these cousins.

The following OHIO Township Landowner Map shows where the properties of William and Martha Kirmse and relatives from Perry County were located near Goodwin, Oklahoma,

The William Kirmse homestead (with a red border) and the Martha Kirmse property (with a blue border) are located in Section 19.

The John Henry Lohmann homestead (with an yellow border) is the NW quarter of section 30. John Henry Lohmann’s wife, Maria (Cordes) Lohmann, was a sister of Martha (Cordes) Kirmse.

Joseph and Louis Kirmse each have 80 acres (with a green border) in the SW quarter of Section 14.  Joseph and Louis were William Kirmse’s brothers. They never lived on their property but rented the land to the August Kahnert family.
