4.4 Excelsior and the Online Writing Lab at Purdue

Many online writing resources help students become better writers. No matter what skill level writers have, they often have questions about formatting, style, content, subject-level writing, and other editing questions. Online writing resources like the Purdue Online Writing Lab and the Excelsior Online Writing Lab offer writers the latest updates to formatting requirements as well as many excellent tips for writing, revising, and editing.

These websites also have excellent advice on how writers can integrate sources into their papers and document those sources in ways that meet the academic expectations of scholars and avoid any instances of plagiarism. This helps students meet academic expectations for student integrity.

These sites both include a number of videos as well as helpful handouts and templates.
