Chromatic Interval Drills – Major

  1. Sing the drills with the appropriate solfège syllables. Memorize.

  2. Sing the drills with absolute note names in several keys.

  3. Play at the keyboard, transposing into a variety of keys.

Note that the chromatic notes can be interpreted as non-harmonic tones or as implied chromatic chords (modally borrowed, secondary dominant, augmented, embellishing, Neapolitan).
